Experienced strategist and political organizer adds to firm on Parliament Hill and Queen’s Park
Marcel Wieder, President and Chief Advocate of Aurora Strategy Group is pleased to announce the addition of Kunal Parmar to the team. “This is a great addition for Aurora as Parmar has extensive experience at all levels of government that will benefit Aurora clients,” said Wieder. “Parmar will provide Aurora with additional depth, especially at the federal and provincial levels with his extensive knowledge and contacts.”
“I am excited to join Aurora and help its roster of clients navigate the bureaucratic and political maze,” said Parmar. “I look forward to applying my skills and experience gained over years both inside and outside of government,” he added.
Parmar brings over a decade of grassroots political experience at the federal, municipal and provincial levels to the Aurora team. He has extensive experience working with multicultural community organizations and multicultural media outlets; this helps him provide a unique perspective as he works with clients to achieve their strategic goals.
Before joining Aurora Parmar spent time working on Parliament Hill and at Queen’s Park. At the federal level he served as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Prime Minister and Leader of the Official Opposition. Parmar’s career at Queen’s Park saw him serve as Stakeholder Relations advisor to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration as well as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Parmar most recently served as the Director of Operations to the Liberal Party of Canada (Ontario).
Parmar is an active volunteer with the Guru Gobind Singh Children’s Foundation since 1999. He is also a sports enthusiast and dedicated Toronto Maple Leaf fan.
